Salling Group Builds Up Families’ Excitement for “Space Jam: A New Legacy”

“It’s game time!” As the world is looking forward to the release of Warner Bros.’ Space Jam: A New Legacy movie in July, Salling Group is giving Danish families a sneak peek at how fun it will be. The retailer is delighting shoppers with a playful loyalty campaign that features a wide variety of rewards to collect in-store: Space Jam: A New Legacy Holocards and plush toys developed by UNGA.

Salling Group partnered up with UNGA to reward families for their customer loyalty in a memorable way. For every DKK 100 spent at føtex, Bilka and BR Toys, they receive a free Space Jam: A New Legacy sticker booklet containing 2 stickers, 1 Holocard, and 1 saver sticker.

20 Holocards and 40 stickers can be collected and placed in a beautifully designed collector’s album sold in-store. Made of FSC paper and a hard cover, the 48-page album is filled with games and activities around the Space Jam: A New Legacy movie that make learning fun for kids.

The Space Jam: A New Legacy movie stars the iconic Looney Tunes. So, UNGA and Salling Group partnered with Warner Bros. Consumer Products and turned Bugs Bunny, Lola Bunny, Daffy Duck, Tweety and Taz into soft plush toys that kids will love to add to their collection. The campaign offers 5 plush toys made of recycled materials that shoppers can redeem with a full saver card (i.e. 5 saver stickers) + DKK 40.

A loyalty campaign that provides sustainability and educational value

While the campaign is fun and playful for both kids and their parents—who grew up with the Looney Tunes—there is actually a lot more to it.

For Salling Group, and for the first time, UNGA created a line of plush toys made of recycled materials: a strong step towards more sustainability in retail loyalty.

The plush toys are soft, cute and safe for kids to play with. At the same time, they also contribute to protecting the planet by reusing and recycling existing materials, thereby stopping plastic from ending up in the ocean or landfills.

The collectible rewards also ensure that kids learn through play. With the Holocards and the battery-operated light module included in the album, kids can indeed learn how to trace and draw their favorite Space Jam: A New Legacy characters. A great campaign to stimulate their creativity and other skills!

 

Space Jam: A New Legacy to be released in July 2021

Space Jam: A New Legacy will be released by Warner Bros. on July 16th. In this animated/live-action film, a basketball superstar teams up with Bugs Bunny and the rest of the Looney Tunes to defeat the Goon Squad and save his son.
