Here We Grow Again: Little Garden Is Back at Checkers
After running the Little Garden loyalty campaign in 2018, Checkers is bringing kids and adults in South Africa a new opportunity to garden together. From August 24, 2020 and until stocks last, Checkers Little Garden 2 will surprise and delight all generations with a great range of 24 seedlings to grow at home, with novelties that UNGA so proudly contributed to.
For every R200 spent at Checkers and Checkers Hyper, shoppers using their Xtra Savings Card can receive a seedling kit that contains seed tape, a compostable pot, a soil pod, and a pop-out name tag.
Checkers customers can collect up to 24 locally-produced seedling kits to grow 6 herbs, 8 flowers and 10 vegetables at home, and enjoy their new bee-friendly Little Garden―one of the novelties of the loyalty campaign this year. From African daisies and sunflowers to carrots and basil, the range of seeds given away during the promotion indeed enables Little Gardeners to treat their buzzing friends―who play such a critical role in healthy ecosystems and food production―to nectar and pollen.
A collector’s tray made out of pulp is also available for customers to put their seedlings together. And to make Checkers Little Garden 2 even more bee-friendly, kids and adults will also have the chance to buy a wooden bee hotel―additional merchandise available in stores.
